Wind farm in Kok-Moinok village to be completed by 2026

A capsule-laying ceremony for the construction of a wind farm took place in Kok-Moinok village of Ton district on September 12.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Japarov.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk also delivered a speech at the ceremony.

The wind farm will occupy up to 200 hectares. The capacity of the farm will reach 100 MW, the planned annual output is 290 million kWh per year.

The planned output for 25 years of operation is estimated at 7 billion MWh.

It is reported that after the farm is put into operation, the constructed roads can be used by local residents, and the territory of the wind farm will be occupied by agriculture and livestock farming.

Start of wind measurements on site took place in March 2024. The first equipment delivery is expected in the first quarter of 2025, completion of design work in the third quarter of 2025, and commissioning in 2026.
