Bishkek, Cheongju sign cooperation memorandum

Vice mayor of Bishkek Azamat Kadyrov and vice mayor of the city of Cheongju (Korea) Shin Beng De signed memorandum of cooperation between the cities, the mayor’s office reported.

The document is aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between the residents of Bishkek and Cheongju cities, supporting and developing of exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices in urban planning, environment, infrastructure, education and culture, deepening of economic cooperation, including joint projects in the field of tourism, trade and investment.

The sides discussed development of relations between the cities by signing the document.

Kadyrov noted that the city of Bishkek is open to cooperation with the Korean side on implementation and further joint projects of social and cultural-humanitarian development, as well as exchange of experience in the field of urban development, transport, housing and other urban life.

Shin Beng De said that the signed memorandum will help cooperation in tourism, transport and business.
