Women in Kyrgyzstan urged to visit outpatient clinic for free examination for breast and cervical cancer

Women are checked for breast and cervical cancer in all outpatient clinics across Kyrgyzstan, Family Medicine Center doctor Nazgul Zhoroeva said.

From October 1 to October 31, outpatient clinics conduct examinations of women, regardless of their place of residence. This work is being carried out as part of the women’s health awareness month.

During the examination, gynecological tests are taken, an ultrasound scanning of the mammary gland and pelvic organs is done. Palpation is also carried out, and if the doctor detects a tumor, a woman is referred to the National Center for Oncology and Hematology.

Doctor Zhoroeva noted that examinations are carried out annually. “Our gynecologists conduct examinations every year, we urge every woman to undergo examination regularly,” she added.
