President Sadyr Japarov receives CSTO Secretary General
President Sadyr Japarov received Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Imangali Tasmagambetov on February 13.
The parties exchanged opinions on the issues of regional security and stability, as well as interaction within the organization, the President’s Administration reported.
The head of state was presented with the action plan of the CSTO autumn session and implementation of the priority areas of activity during Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship.
The President expressed confidence that priority areas outlined by Kyrgyzstan for cthe 2025 chairmanship will positively influence improvement of the collective security system, including the coordination of political activity, military cooperation, and countering transnational threats and challenges.
Tasmagambetov thanked the leadership of Kyrgyzstan for active position within the organization and expressed confidence that the initiatives will strengthen collective security and increase efficiency of interaction between the CSTO member states.
At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed readiness for further strengthening of cooperation within the CSTO, noting the importance of joint efforts aimed at ensuring the regional stability.
