Two men attempt to smuggle 6 tons of minced chicken across border in Batken region
Suspects in smuggling meat across the border have been detained in Batken region, the governor’s office of the region reported.
The Border Service officers stopped two Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cars on the Bulak-Bashy – Beshkent road near the Maksat border outpost at 7:50 pm on February 18.
The inspection revealed that the drivers did not have the necessary documents for the cargo. The first car belonged to a resident of Jashtyk village of Leilek district. The car contained 2,800 kilograms of frozen minced chicken.
The second car belonged to another resident of Jashtyk village. His car contained 3,200 kilograms of frozen minced chicken.
