Repairs at Bishkek CHPP units No.3 and 4 to finish this fall

Repairs at Bishkek combined heat and power plant will be completed by October 1 in the unit No. 3 and by November 1 in the unit No. 4, the CHPP told Tazabek.

These units have not undergone major repairs since their commissioning 7 years ago, leading to a decrease in their designed capacity from 300 MW to 220 MW.

The contract amount for the repairs is provisional and will be finalized upon completion of the major overhaul, the CHPP press service explained. 

The city administration previously reported that over 300 Chinese workers are currently conducting major repairs on units No. 3 and No. 4.
