Import of pharmaceutical products increased by 19.8% in Kyrgyzstan in H1
The total foreign trade turnover for January-June 2024 reached $7.6 billion, reflecting a 9.4% increase compared to the same period in 2023, according to the National Statistical Committee.
Data shows that imports for January-June 2024 amounted to $6.3 billion, representing a 12.4% year-on-year growth.
The increase in import volumes compared to January-June 2023 was largely driven by higher imports of land transportation vehicles and parts, which rose by 28.5%, pharmaceutical products by 19.8%, clothing and accessories by 14.3%, fruits and nuts by 12.6%, and ferrous metals by 12.2%.
