The volume and conditions for the supply of electricity are determined by a separate Agreement on the purchase of electricity between OJSC «Rogun HPP» and JSC «Uzenergosotish».

The price of planned electrical energy from OJSC «Rogunskaya HPP» is 3.4 US cents per 1 kWh (including VAT paid at a zero rate) and is subject to annual indexation in the amount of one percent of the established price for the entire period of validity of the contract.

Indexation is applied from the second year of delivery of planned electrical energy.

Rogun electricity will be supplied to Uzbekistan according to a schedule agreed upon by the system operators of the two countries, mainly during hours of planned power shortages in the electric power system of Uzbekistan via interstate power lines.

Deliveries of Rogun electricity to Uzbekistan are carried out in parallel with supplies of electricity from OJSC «Barki Tojik».

During the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power station, electricity will be supplied during the growing season (from April 1 to September 30 of the calendar year).

After the Rogun hydroelectric power station is commissioned at full design capacity, electricity will be supplied monthly throughout the year.

The agreement comes into force on the date of receipt through diplomatic channels of the last written notification of the parties’ compliance with the domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force.

The agreement is designed for 20 years and is extended for subsequent 10-year periods if neither party notifies the other party in writing through diplomatic channels of its intention to terminate it 6 months before the end of the next term of the agreement.

Let us remind you that «Barki tojik» has been supplying electricity to Uzbekistan since 2018 during the growing season.
