150 Kyrgyz citizens to undergo free treatment in Turkey – Health Ministry
150 Kyrgyz citizens will be able to receive free treatment in Turkey in accordance with the new agreement, Deputy Health Minister Kaarmanbek Baidavletov said on November 6.
He said that the agreement previously provided for the treatment of 70 Kyrgyz citizens.
“The quota for free treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey was suspended in 2019. We have resumed these quotas,” he noted about the document signed between the health ministers of the two countries.
An agreement was also signed on the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital. The hospital has been operating since 2018. The salaries of doctors and the supply of equipment are provided by the Turkish side.
“They fully cover all expenses. Yesterday’s agreement was drawn up in the same way. The salaries of doctors and medical workers will be paid for 5 years. If there is a need and opportunity, our doctors will undergo advanced training in Turkey,” he said.
