Ministry of Labor provides 9164 people with temporary jobs in 10 months
The Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration said it attracted 9,164 people in public paid work through temporary employment scheme as of November 1.
23.5 million soms were allocated from the central budget to pay wages to citizens engaged in public paid work.
In addition, 467 infrastructure, educational and income-generating projects were implemented within the framework of joint projects in the rural municipalities across the country. They involved 12,334 low-income families or 61,276 people. As part of the projects, more than 3,183 tons of food products (flour and vegetable oil) were distributed.
157 projects related to the provision of emergency assistance under the “Cash for Work (Training)” scheme to the most vulnerable segments of the population were also implemented. They involved 3953 low-income families or 21,775 beneficiaries. As part of the implementation of these projects, 47.704 million soms were distributed in cash.
The given projects supported cleaning of canals, widening of roadsides, building sidewalks, fencing the area around household waste dumps, pastures, water tanks, building new bridges in many rural areas, repairing old bridges, laying water lines to provide clean water to new settlements, planting seedlings (roses, flower beds), landscaping. Women were trained in craft techniques, massage, sewing courses, employment, support for parents of children with disabilities, etc.
