Kyrgyzstan imports 1.1 billion kW/h from Kazakhstan’s solar and wind power plants
The Electric Stations company, which is in charge of large hydroelectric power plants in Kyrgyzstan, imported 1.1 billion kW/h of electricity from Kazakhstan’s Financial Center for Support of Renewable Energy Sources in January-November 2024, Samruk-Energo reported.
The Center is a company under the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, which purchases and sells electricity generated by renewable energy facilities.
The volume of electricity of 1.1 billion kW/h corresponds to approximately 7% of Kyrgyzstan’s annual consumption for 2024.
