International forum of volunteers of CIS countries held in Cholpon-Ata
The opening of the international forum of volunteers of the CIS countries was held in Cholpon-Ata on August 1, the Ministry of Culture reported.
120 participants from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are participating in the event.
The forum is held with the purpose of strengthening of interstate cooperation and development of volunteering in the CIS countries for achievement of the Millennium Development Goals and improvement of quality of life.
The forum participants will share volunteering experience and practices, develop cooperation and partnership between volunteer organizations, draw attention to importance of volunteering for addressing socioal, ecological and economic issues.
