The first unit of the Sebzor hydroelectric power station will be put into operation in the third ten days of June this year. This was stated by the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Daler Juma during a visit to the station’s construction site, the department’s press service reports.
«The commissioning of the first unit of the power plant with a capacity of 3.6 megawatts is planned for the third ten days of June this year, preparatory work for its trial operation is at the final stage», — noted Daler Juma.
During the visit, the progress of construction work was inspected, as well as the installation and installation of technical equipment at the power plant.
The Minister of Energy noted that the Sebzor hydroelectric power station with a total capacity of 11 megawatts is one of the most important strategic and infrastructure projects to provide stable and reliable electricity to the remote mountainous region of the country.
Once fully operational, it will play an important role in providing uninterrupted electricity to the population and socio-economic institutions of cities and regions of GBAO.
Let us remind you that the Sebzor hydroelectric power station, which is being built on the Shakhdara River in the Roshtkalinsky district, consists of 3 power units. When fully operational, it will generate 11 MW of electricity.
The power plant dam will reach a height of 8.5 meters and a length of 65 meters, and the volume of its reservoir will be 250 thousand cubic meters.
It was noted that this facility will not only contribute to the stable supply of electricity to the local population, but will also significantly increase opportunities for the economic and social development of the region.
When the hydroelectric power station is put into operation, the total energy capacity of GBAO will increase by 25%.
