Levy, Geely’s communications and brand manager, emphasized that the company will carry out extensive market research and offer test drives in Uzbekistan before the official launch. These steps aim to help the company understand local consumer preferences, ensuring that its vehicle lineup will resonate well with Uzbek customers.

Geely has already made strides in Uzbekistan, introducing its premium electric vehicle brand, Zeekr, in March this year. By the end of June, the first Zeekr dealership opened in Tashkent City.

The brand initially intended to launch its complete model range in Uzbekistan by the end of 2023, with a lineup that includes popular models like the Coolray and Tugella crossovers, the Monjaro and Okavango SUVs, the Emgrand sedan, and the Geometry E electric crossover.

Geely, part of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, was founded in 1986 by billionaire Li Shufu and is headquartered in Hangzhou. The company is the only private Chinese automaker on the Fortune Global 500 list, boasting annual revenues of over $23bn.
