The facility uses modern hydraulic units and an automated control system manufactured in Uzbekistan, and local building materials were used during construction. The capacity of the small hydroelectric power station is 1.48 MW.

Every year the power plant will produce up to 11.8 million kWh of environmentally friendly electricity and replace 4 million cubic meters of gas. It will be able to supply 5 thousand households, as well as tourist and recreational facilities in the Chorbog, Humson and Ugam mahallas.

Currently, two small hydroelectric power stations operate on the Ugam River, each of which generates 200 billion soums of income per year. The opportunity was noted to build a cascade of 10 power plants here, which will improve local infrastructure and develop the economy.

In total, there are 25 hydroelectric power stations operating in the Tashkent region, which account for 1,330 MW or 60% of all hydropower capacity in Uzbekistan. Four more 340 MW power plants are currently under construction at a cost of $880 million, and by 2028 it is planned to launch 28 hydroelectric power plants for $4.8 billion.

By 2030, it is planned to expand the total hydropower capacity to 6 thousand MW, for which it is planned to attract private and foreign investment. According to experts, up to 2 thousand small hydroelectric power stations can be built in different regions.
