Choriyev highlighted that meetings with Hungarian entrepreneurs and investors have opened up new prospects, encouraging both sides to explore large-scale industrial projects. He emphasized Uzbekistan’s growing role as a regional transport hub, citing its strategic location in Central Asia.

“In the railway sector, we are negotiating with Hungary on the production of wagons, supply of spare parts, and potential exports to other countries from Uzbekistan,” Choriyev stated.

The development comes amid growing interest in the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (the Middle Corridor) and the planned construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway. According to Choriyev, these projects underline Uzbekistan’s key transit position and offer attractive opportunities for foreign investors.

Relevant agreements have already been signed with Hungary to enhance infrastructure and service organization in the transport sector.

In addition to rail transport, Choriyev revealed that both countries are exploring cooperation in the aviation sector, particularly in cargo transportation. Agreements are expected by the upcoming winter season. Talks are also underway on the development of logistics centers in Uzbekistan with Hungarian investment.
