Of the lands located in cities and districts of the Tashkent region and not used in agriculture, 40 land plots with a total area of 6.59 hectares were allocated on permanent use terms for the needs of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It is planned to build small hydroelectric power stations (microhydroelectric power stations) at these locations on the terms of identifying winners through tenders; these land areas will be sold at auction.
It is planned that such micro-hydroelectric power stations will be built in the Pskent, Akhangaran, Bekabad, Yukorichirchik, Bostanlyk, Kibray, Chinaz, Bukinsky, Yangiyulsky, Zangiata districts and within the cities of Angren, Almalyk, Bekabad, Chirchik.
Previously, a corresponding decision was signed by the khokim of the Tashkent region on the construction of 43 microhydroelectric power plants in the capital region.
A total of 264 locations were initially identified for the construction of these hydraulic facilities; To date, in 102 places in the Tashkent region, areas have been allocated for small hydroelectric power stations where construction work is underway.
