Internet disruptions in Kyrgyzstan caused by damage of main communication channel

Internet disruptions are observed in Kyrgyzstan.

Both wire and mobile internet connections were disrupted.

Internet provider Aknet said the backbone wire was damaged and access to internet and television was restricted in eastern part of Bishkek, Dmitrievka, Krasnaya Rechka villages, Kant, Tokmok, Ruhiy-Muras district, Ivanovka village, Altyn-Ordo district, Kirovskoye village, Lebedinovka, Uchkun, Vostok district, Luxembourg.

Kompanion Bank reported about temporary restrictions for Elcart and Visa transactions in the mobile app. 

Optima Bank announced about disruption of backbone channel of the provider and temporary internet disruption and no access to the transactions in branches of the bank and mobile application.

Kyrgyzstan had similar internet disruptions two weeks ago.
