Some doctors to get wages up to 75,000 soms upon pay increase – Health Minister
Some doctors in Kyrgyzstan will receive wages up to 75,000 soms after pay increase, Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told a press conference.
Starting since July 1, pediatricians, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, general surgeons, neonatologists and emergency doctors of Bishkek and Osh began to receive additional compensation in the amount of 20,000 soms. These specialties were chosen due to great need, the Health Minister explained.
“We also increased the number of participants of the Young Doctor Deposit Program from 200 to 500 and increased the sum of quarterly pay supplements to 66,000 soms. Thus, we automatically cover shortage of specialists in the regions of the country. Besides, clinical residents and young surgeons were sent to the regions which lacked them. Now residents and interns will get 20,000 soms stipend,” Health Minister Beishenaliev said.
Wages of medical workers were raised twice before: in April and July 2021, the Minister added.
