Book about lives of 150 Manas epic tellers to be presented at Manas National Theater

The Manas National Theater will host a presentation of the book “Manaschylar” (“Manas Epic Tellers”) on February 18, theater director Nurbek Talantbekov told AKIpress.

According to him, the book contains stories about the life and work of 150 Manas epic tellers over the past 500 years.

“In addition to information about the epic tellers, the book also contains their photos. Some have preserved audio and video that can be accessed via QR codes,” the theater director said.

Talantbekov noted that the previous books contained biographies of 75 Manas epic tellers in total, now this list has been updated to 150 tellers.

The theater will also present special equipment that was purchased 20 million soms on February 18.
