The event was attended by Orif Butayev, Chairman of the Board of Mikrokreditbank Joint-Stock Commercial Bank, Thomas Förster, Head of International People IP GmbH & Co. KG, Mathias Wangler, Head of the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation in Uzbekistan, and other diplomats.

The memorandum outlines a plan to provide Uzbek specialists with the necessary tools to integrate into the German workforce. The German side will offer language courses to facilitate access to dual vocational education institutions, focusing on industries such as gastronomy, food logistics, logistics, and meat processing. In addition, support will be provided in obtaining visas, arranging accommodations, and ensuring smooth registration processes for the specialists upon their arrival in Germany.

“Our company’s International People Education GmbH language training center has started operations in Tashkent. We currently offer courses aimed at obtaining international language certificates and specific language training for professions,” said Akbar Fakhriyev, head of the training center.

A German delegation is scheduled to visit Uzbekistan in April 2025, where they will collaborate with the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation and Mikrokreditbank to develop a detailed action plan.

This memorandum marks a step toward the realization of the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement on Migration and Mobility, signed between Uzbekistan and Germany.

Announced in September 2024, the agreement outlines various initiatives aimed at simplifying migration for Uzbeks, including the recognition of diplomas from Uzbek higher education institutions and vocational colleges in Germany. This agreement was one of the key outcomes of high-level Uzbek-German talks held in Samarkand in 2024.
