Freight turnover increased by 6.3% in H1 to 1.3 billion ton-kilometers

The freight turnover of all types of transport increased by 81.7 million ton-kilometers in January-June 2024 or 6.3%, reaching 1.3 billion ton-kilometers compared to the same period in 2023, according to the National Statistical Committee.

However, in June, the freight turnover decreased by 10.6 million ton-kilometers, or 5.2%, compared to June 2023, but rose by 1.3% compared to the previous month.
