President Japarov, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen hold talks tete-a-tete
President Sadyr Japarov Federal President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen held talks tete-a-tete as part of President Japarov’s official visit to Austria.
The two leaders discussed issues on the bilateral and international agenda. Particular attention was paid to issues of political interaction, as well as prospects for strengthening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Austria, the president’s press service said.
Alexander Van der Bellen emphasized the importance of a sustainable dialogue between the countries, which contributes to strengthening mutual trust and developing joint initiatives.
The head of state expressed gratitude to his Austrian counterpart for the invitation to visit Austria on an official visit, noting that this visit, the first in the last nine years, will be an important step towards strengthening Kyrgyz-Austrian interstate relations.
The President emphasized the presence of significant potential for expanding interaction between the two countries and confirmed Kyrgyzstan’s readiness for active cooperation in its implementation.
President Sadyr Japarov expressed confidence that the talks would give impetus to development of Kyrgyz-Austrian relations and open up new opportunities for implementation of joint projects in various fields.
Following the one-on-one meeting, the talks continued in an expanded format with the participation of delegations from the two countries.
