MP asks Cabinet of Ministers to build new infectious diseases hospital in Bishkek
MP Suyun Omurzakov suggested to build a large infectious diseases hospital in Bishkek, adding that about 1.2 million people live in the capital at a meeting of the Parliament on January 15.
According to him, 1,830 people referred to the infectious diseases hospital in just 10 days, 1,251 of them were children.
“The Republican Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital, designed for 500 beds, accepts more than 600 patients. Adults and children are treated in one place. Therefore, a new hospital will be needed in the capital in the coming years,” the MP said.
