No athletes from Kyrgyzstan’s women’s wrestling team who participated in Paris Olympics announced their retirement – senior coach
No athletes from the Paris Olympic Games have announced their retirement, said Baygazy Kenjebayev, the senior coach of the women’s wrestling team, on August 19.
He stated that after a break, the athletes will resume training next month, and discussions about preparations for the next Olympics will begin.
“The coaches also plan to prepare several other young athletes for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics,” he added.
At the Paris Olympics, the women’s wrestling team, including Aisuluu Tynybekova, Meerim Zhumanazarova, and Aiperi Medet kyzy, won two medals: silver (Zhumanazarova) and bronze (Tynybekova). Medet kyzy finished 5th.
