President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, at the invitation of Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Sabah, visited Kuwait, where he held high-level talks with the Emir in Kuwait City on February 17, 2025. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in key sectors such as green energy, agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, and tourism. Agreements were reached to establish an Investment Platform and Business Council, along with plans to open a trading house in Kuwait City.
Both leaders emphasized mutual support in global organizations and the upcoming Central Asia-Gulf Cooperation Council summit in Samarkand. The visit also included meetings with Kuwaiti business leaders to discuss joint projects in sectors such as logistics, healthcare, and artificial intelligence.
The growing partnership between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, strengthened by agreements on air transport, labor, and smart city development, reflects a shared vision for long-term collaboration, with a focus on fostering economic, cultural, and political ties.
