The opening ceremony, held at the Fergana plant, marked the culmination of six months of round-the-clock construction efforts. Senior management from SEG TASCO and representatives from the Fergana Oil Refinery attended the event to highlight the terminal’s modern capabilities.

The new terminal significantly improves efficiency, reducing the time required for fuel loading, registration, and documentation preparation for tankers from a full day to just one hour.

“We have created conditions that meet international standards and can supply up to 2,000 tons of gasoline and diesel fuel per day,” said Furkajon Khamidov, head of the Fergana terminal.

He emphasized that the terminal will ensure a consistent fuel supply for vehicles in the region, especially throughout the winter.

This development is part of a broader expansion plan by Saneg, which includes the construction of 20 new filling stations across the Fergana Valley. Twelve of these petrol stations are already operational, with further development underway.

Saneg, formerly known as Jizzakh Petroleum until November 2021, is Uzbekistan’s largest private oil and gas company. The company controls 103 subsoil deposits, responsible for approximately 80% of the country’s oil production. With over 5,000 employees and operations across Karshi, Mubarek, Fergana, and Andijan, Saneg plays a pivotal role in the nation’s energy sector.

SEG TASCO, its subsidiary, handled over 960,000 tonnes of petroleum product deliveries in 2023, reinforcing its key role in the supply and trading of petroleum products.
